  • IELTS Preparation:
We provide IELTS preparation classes on a biweekly Friday schedule for students planning to take the IELTS exam. Classes are offered in small groups or as one-to-one sessions.
  • Foreign Languages:
As a student at Liffey College, you will have access to beginner and conversational classes in various languages, including French and Spanish, with additional options available on demand. These classes are held biweekly.
  • Conversation Class:
Speaking practice is done on a variety of topics in the classroom, but sometimes the students need to practice having a conversation in a specific field of work, life or education. For this purpose, we organise tailor-made conversations for this purpose. For example, a student who wants to work as a vet in Ireland, or a student who needs to write the speech for the marriage ceremony of their best friend. Our biweekly conversation classes can cover it all.
  • CV Preparation/Job-hunting Workshop:
In this workshop we look at the guidelines for creating a CV and attending job interviews in the local environment. We look at some good practices for CV writing, and the students write and rewrite their CVs with the help of a mentor. This workshop is available every two weeks during the induction week.
  • Final Exam Preparation:
TIE exam preparation is integrated into the curriculum to ensure that the students are well-prepared for their exam by the end of their course without additional stress. However, we offer additional support in biweekly workshops for students who might need it.
  • Career Guidance Workshops:
Ever wondered how to create your own brand? Interested how to get a work visa in Ireland? Curious about what services are available to you as a resident in Ireland? These and many other topics are covered in our monthly career guidance workshops.
  • Language Clinics: For the students who are struggling with a specific language component or skill. You can feel confident when it comes to speaking, but not so much when you need to write a formal email? Language clinics are here to cover that gap! These take place once a week and they can be organised for small groups facing the same challenges.
  • Monthly Theme and Festivities:
Every month we organise additional activities to match the atmosphere of the season, from learning in the outdoors during the summer months to enjoying the cosy seasons with plenty of local celebrations and holidays.
  • Additional communicative activities:
Using English as a tool for your every day happens every day, inside and outside the classroom, but sometimes a little push is needed to get the confidence to venture out of your comfort zone. Ordering your first coffee in English? Thinking of sending letters and postcards? Meeting new people and wanting to talk about your favourite film? We’re here to support you with that, too.
  • Irish Culture:
Irish culture is an integral part of our syllabus. Every week students get the chance to learn about a new aspect of the culture, and every two weeks they visit famous landmarks and museums to learn by immersing themselves in the culture.
  • Plus Plenty More!
