EMPLOYMENT PREPARATION WORKSHOPS
Career workshops delivered twice a month on Wednesdays at 13:00 provide educational opportunity for Liffey College students to learn about key career skills and topics including CV preparation. Learners are encouraged to reflect on their skills, strengths, and accomplishments and prepare a draft of their CV. Comments, feedback and helpful advice are provided on polishing CVs, using an effective CV format to reflect skills, adapting CVs to the industry and position being applied for, etc. For dates, please login to student panel and click on college calendar. Students are required to sign the attendance register at reception.
ONE-ON-ONE APPOINTMENTS
We offer one-on-one appointments to discuss career direction and job-seeking skills, as well as advice on researching the job market, and preparing for an interview. Appointments must be booked in advance through Reception.
ADDITIONAL ASSISTANCE
Resources
Laptops are available with free WI-FI (password is displayed on the college notice board) for learner use to easily access job advertisements and to assist in preparing job applications.
Students also have access to a quiet study room where they can work on their personal projects that require more focus.
Liaisons
Upon request, the College can also liaise with recruitment agencies for updated knowledge of the marketplace. Job vacancies are regularly advertised on the college notice board.
